If you’ve ever wished you could bottle that “ahh” feeling you get after taking a deep breath of fresh morning air, this one’s for you. doTERRA’s Breathe® blend is my go-to whenever I want my home to feel a little fresher, cleaner, and calmer all at once.
This blend includes Peppermint, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Lemon, Cardamom, and a few other refreshing oils that come together with a crisp, minty aroma. It’s one of those scents that instantly makes you feel like you’ve opened a window on a cool day — even if you haven’t.
How I Like to Use It
- In the diffuser: A few drops and my whole house smells bright and clean (especially helpful when everyone’s been cooped up inside).
- Before bed: I’ll put a drop in my hands, rub them together, and take a few slow breaths before climbing under the covers.
- DIY projects: Breathe® makes an amazing addition to shower tabs or homemade steamers. I love giving these away in little jars as “breathe easy” gifts — they’re simple, but they feel so thoughtful.
Make & Take: Breathe® Shower Tabs
If you’ve never tried a shower tab, think of it like a bath bomb for people who don’t have time for baths (hi, that’s me). When the water hits it, it fizzes and fills your shower with the fresh, minty scent of Breathe®.
What You’ll Need:
- 1 cup baking soda
- ½ cup cornstarch
- 2–3 tablespoons water (add slowly — less is more!)
- 10–12 drops doTERRA Breathe® essential oil blend
How to Make Them:
- Mix the baking soda and cornstarch in a bowl.
- Slowly add water, one tablespoon at a time, until the texture feels like damp sand.
- Add your Breathe® oil and stir well.
- Press the mixture into a silicone mold or ice cube tray.
- Let the tabs dry for 24–48 hours until they’re hard.
- Pop them out and store them in a sealed jar or container.
To Use:
Drop one on the floor of your shower, near (but not directly under) the water stream. As it fizzes, take a deep breath and let the minty aroma fill your space.
